The best benefit of ordering your contacts through your eye doctor is that we have access to VERY lucrative manufacturer rebates that we pass on to you! Often, these rebates beat out competitors, giving you an even lower price!
Also, your contacts will ship free to your door any time you order your year supply! Win win!!

To wrap up the series, we will end with our newest doctor, Dr. Boldis! Dr. Boldis will practice at our Colony Rd location and starts April 4th!
.
“I am thrilled to have joined Spectrum Eye Care where I hope to further my passion for eye health and overall wellness. I am excited to engage with each and every patient with attention, care and a two way conversation that can lead to optimal eye health.

A little bit about me. I was born in Romania and grew up in South Florida where I completed optometry school at Nova Southeastern University. My husband and I relocated to the beautiful Charlotte Metro area in 2017 and have become very fond of the Queen City as we have already planted roots and started a family. We welcomed our baby girl last year and look forward to continue to grow within our community. In my personal time I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling, a good meal and outdoor activities.”

On this week’s “Meet our Doc Monday”, meet Dr. Embrey!
.
“I grew up in a small town in North Carolina and have continued to enjoy all sides of this state from east to west. Graduating from UNC-Wilmington and then off to UAB for Optometry school, I was excited to return to the booming metropolitan area of Charlotte. I was thankful to have joined Spectrum Eye Care in 2014 and as I have continued my journey in the health and wellness field now as a Health Coach, I am grateful to still have the opportunity to fill-in when and where I can help. Spectrum Eye Care sets the highest standards when it comes to caring for their patients and I am proud to be a part of this team!

On my down time I enjoy outdoor activities with my husband, getting to the coast as often as we can and enjoying the country life with our bulldog Rudy out in Waxhaw!”

This week, meet Dr. Shin!

“I grew up in Charlotte and am excited to be back! I’m thankful to be part of the Spectrum Eye Care team and provide quality, personalized eye care. It’s important to me to work together with patients to reach their vision goals and manage eye conditions.

With how much Charlotte and Mooresville is growing, I enjoy spending time exploring new places. My puppy Zoey has been an exciting addition and definitely keeps me on my toes!”

On this “Meet Our Doc Monday”, meet Dr. Lockhart!

A native Detroiter, Dr. Lockhart has fallen in love with the Queen City since following his family and moving here four years ago. Joining Spectrum Eye Care was an easy choice for him as he was looking for employment in his new home: “I’ve worked in the eye and vision care industry since I was 16, and I’ve seen practices that do it the wrong way-this isn’t one of them. You aren’t just a number at Spectrum, we actually connect with our patients instead of rushing them out the door”.
Outside of optometry, Dr. Lockhart recently purchased his first home in the Villa Heights neighborhood of the city, where he can be found strumming the guitar and playing with his dog Finnegan.

This week, meet Dr. Hackley!

“Growing up in Charlotte, it’s been a blessing to be able to come back to work and live in a city that I love. I never take for granted how lucky I am to have family and friends close by. Joining on with Spectrum was an easy decision in that the practice fits with my core value of “patient’s first”. As a provider, it is my goal to become a partner with my patients in their eye care journey. Whether I am managing a patient’s eye condition or helping them achieve their best vision, I strive to connect with them, understand their goals, and get them there in the best way possible.

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband, 2 year old son, and our sweet German Shepherd. I love live music and getting outside to hike. Over the pandemic, I found a hidden passion for DIY- I taught myself how to use power tools and built a deck!”

Next up in our “Meet Our Docs Monday” series, meet Dr. Osborne!
.
“ I grew up in Maryland, and attended Optometry school just a few miles north of Philadelphia. I moved to Charlotte after completing my residency in 2007. I was fortunate to join Spectrum Eye Care shortly after and have loved my role here ever since. My patients are my top priority, and I have found so much joy in building relationships with them over the years. Optometry is much more than correcting vision and treating eye diseases. It’s the most rewarding career I could have hoped for and I look forward to what the future of the profession holds.
.
I am so thankful for my wonderful family, and the best dog Axel. We love spending time together, especially outdoors. Matt and I are huge fans of live music, so we attend concerts whenever we can. Our family and friends mean the world to us.”

Starting a “Meet Our Docs Monday” series, highlighting all the awesome doctors in our practice. This week, meet Dr. Wichnoski, our practice owner!
.
“Having lived in Charlotte most of my life, I consider it home. After Optometry school I wanted to open my own practice so that I could control the quality of eye care my patients received and because I have an entrepreneurial drive that I couldn’t ignore. 25 years later I have 4 practices, phenomenal doctors, and a great staff.
.
Over the last 25 years, I’ve enjoyed practicing broad scope optometry and keeping my practice abreast of the latest in the field. It’s been a joy getting to know my patients and their families and I look forward to continuing those relationships!
.
I am also very lucky to have my wife Wendy and two great kids, Caitlin and Connor, and our little dog Cooper. I’m proud to say that Wendy, Caitlin and myself have all graduated from UNC Charlotte and Connor is in his first year there. My Dad also taught there for 42 years in the Math Department. Go Niners!”
